Mott Hall IV Project Ignite

The Project Ignite After-School Program at Mott Hall IV is designed to provide targeted academic support and enrichment opportunities that help students reach their full potential. The program runs Wednesdays for Math and Thursdays for ELA from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering structured time for students to strengthen their foundational skills, close learning gaps, and build confidence in key content areas.

Project Ignite focuses on meeting students where they are—providing small-group instruction, personalized practice, and engaging learning activities that align with grade-level standards and classroom goals. Teachers use data from classroom assessments, i-Ready diagnostics, and state testing to identify areas of need and tailor lessons that promote measurable growth.

In addition to academic support, Project Ignite fosters a positive and encouraging environment where students can ask questions, collaborate with peers, and develop productive study habits. The goal is not only to improve performance but also to ignite a genuine love for learning and perseverance.

By investing in extended learning time through Project Ignite, Mott Hall IV continues its commitment to academic excellence, equity, and student success—ensuring every learner has the tools and confidence to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

"After-school programs here make every day exciting. I stay for homework help, then head to the basketball. I’ve learned how to balance schoolwork and sports, and the teachers always remind us that teamwork matter most. It’s a great way to end the day feeling proud of what you’ve done."

"The after-school clubs are my favorite part of the week! I joined the cosmetology club and dance club, and they’ve helped me express myself in ways I never thought I could. It’s not just about learning skills—it’s about discovering who you are and having fun with friends who share your interests."
